"E-marketing for the Arts" Workshop April 29th for Artists and Arts Organizations
April 2007
Chatham County Arts Council and The Orange County Arts Commission will co-sponsor an "E-Marketing for the Arts" workshop for both artists and arts organizations on Sunday afternoon, April 29th from 1:30-5 pm in the Barn at Fearrington Village, located 8 miles south of Chapel Hill on US 15-501 in Chatham County.
This arts professional development workshop will feature
Eugene Carr, a leading expert in electronic arts marketing and President
of Patron Technology in New York City.
Eugene Carr will examine the results of a recent nationwide study of
arts patrons, to understand exactly how and why the Web and e-mail influence
arts attendance. He will review five essential techniques to use with
your own e-mail marketing efforts, including tips on how to build your
e-mail list, and design effective campaigns utilizing e-marketing case
histories. Artists & arts organizations will learn how successful
arts marketers are using e-mail, and will come away with actionable
ideas to implement, including creating an email marketing strategy,
from a detailed review of design techniques to reports on day-of-week
targeting, and how to avoid having your emails blocked as spam. He'll
also focus on the fastest growing trend in online marketing - streaming
video. He'll show examples of what others are doing, and you'll learn
what it takes to add video to your website in a simple and cost-effective
way.
"E-Marketing for the Arts" is $20 in advance, $25 at the door.
To pay in advance by credit card, call 919/542-0394 (ChathamArts: Tues.-Sat.
