October 2006 Show - Opening October 1, 12 noon to 5pm, during Pittsboro's First Sunday. Featuring textile and fiber works, Oct. 1-28, works by: Nan Baldauf, Joan Belden, Lori LaBerge, Pat Randorf, Lyn Sims, Janet von der Heide and Maggie Wilson. Featured artists used traditional spinning, dyeing, knitting, rug hooking, weaving and soft sculpture to produce contemporary fibers, garments, blankets, scarves, shawls, purses, wall pieces and whimsical 3-D sculptures.

You can meet the artists and see their work at the opening show at ChathamArts on October 1, from 12 noon to 5, when Pittsboro shops, galleries and eateries will be open for First Sunday with arts and crafts for sale along the main street. ChathamArts Gallery sells a wide range of original art and hand-crafted gifts during its regular gallery hours every Wednesday-Saturday from 11 am to 5 pm at 121 Hillsboro St. in Pittsboro, 919-542-4144, info@chathamarts.org .
