In the Gallery

During November, ChathamArts Gallery will be showcasing the work of more than 20 talented local artists who also help run the gallery as volunteers year round.

Featured work includes an array of fine jewelry, textile art, soft sculpture, watercolor and acrylic paintings, functional and decorative pottery, photography, and stained glass. Artists include: Aud Ackerman, Nan Baldauf, Anne Bigelow, Joan Belden, Kristin Bennett, Deidre Brown, Linda Collura, Kira Dirlik, Nancy Ferguson, Forrest Greenslade, Florence Johnson, Mary Heisserman, Bill Lahtinen, Judy MacPhail, Dini Mitchell, Gretchen Niver, Laurel Parker, Jane Palkoski, Pat Randorf, Elaine Rhodes, Lyn Sims and Janet von der Heide.

Collectively this group of artists donates over 200 hours a month to bring local art to the community.

You can meet the artists and see their work at the opening show at ChathamArts on November 5, from 12 noon to 5, when Pittsboro shops, galleries and eateries will be open for First Sunday with arts and crafts for sale along the main street.
