“The Essence of It All shines in a way that must be expressed. Mystical experiences can be too big for the singular heart to hold. I kiss the shimmer through words and images, connecting with other souls lest I be lost in Silence and Solitude.”
Sharon Blessum grew up under the prairie skies of North Dakota. That luminous canopy at day and play of Northern Lights at night fed her ethereal nature. Her beloved companions were clouds, trees, rocks and spacious landscape. Poet and Priest since a young woman, expressions of that calling evolved - teacher, pastor, writer,
photographer, psychotherapist, energy healing practitioner.
Stones and stars speak to Sharon. Her soul joins the sacred conversation through art. The visual process begins in The Thing In Itself. A Moment in Nature may become a photograph used exactly as is, morphs from form to form, is computer enhanced, or marries a poem.  Words flowing from some Inner Landscape may  ask for a surround of shapes and colors, evolving into one of the layers of an image.
Sharon is currently working “Songs of the Beloved”, a fusion of words and images which involves 150 mystical poems, each inspired by the original psalms posted at www.sharonblessumblogspot.com. Already published are “Luminous Portals: Journeys to the Spiritworld”  and  “Mentoring the Magical” a photopoem book on shamanic mysticism.  Her poetry has been published in several journals. Sharon graduated from Union Theological Seminary. Westchester Psychoanalytic Institute, studied extensively at the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and at the Scandinavian Shamanic Institute.
